India, land of Festivals India is a land. so exceptional, We celebrate here, scores of festivals, Festivals for every season, Festivals for every reason. Each Festival has a special day, Each Festival has a special way, All different, but all ensure, Young and old, a get-together. There are festivals to celebrate Birthdays, Christmas, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Buddha Purnima. There are festivals that celebrate occassions, Id, Dusshera, Deepawali, Holi, Paryushana. Harvest festivals, celebrate a bountiful harvest, Bihu, Pongal, Gudi Padwa and Lohri. National Festivals celebrated by all, Republic day, Independence day, Gandhi Jayanti. There are festivals that celebrate relationships Karva Chauth, Bhai Dooj, Raksha Bandhan, Festivals that mark end or start of a season, Vasant Panchami, Makar Sankranti,Uttarayan . Through festivals we celebrate our past, and make our festivals last. To make us forget and forgive bitterness, And give us hope and happiness...
